Former Lieutenant Governor Dennis A. Wicker is a highly experienced attorney who specializes in government relations. As a Partner at Nelson, Mullins, Riley, & Scarborough, LLP from 2009 until his retirement from full-time practice in 2022, he provided strategic advice and advocacy to clients on a range of legislative and regulatory matters. After his retirement from the law firm of Nelson Mullins in 2022, Governor Wicker joined Wicker Law Firm, PLLC, as Of Counsel. In this position, he provides legal advice and representation of clients, drawing on his vast experience and activities in his community and in the State.

Governor Wicker currently serves as a Director of Coca-Cola Consolidated Incorporated and First Bancorp.

When not engaging in professional, civic and political activities, Governor Wicker enjoys spending time with his wife, three sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren, as well as boating at his lake house and tinkering with classic cars.  He and his wife, Alisa, are lifelong members of St. Luke United Methodist Church located in Sanford, NC.
